☆About me

I grew up in Stepaside, Ireland and lived in Dublin up until late 2012 when I moved to Korea with my boyfriend Jeff to teach English for a year.

I’m 28 (although my Korean age is 30).

I love exploring new places and there is plenty of opportunity to do that where we are. I also love making and baking although the baking has fallen short here due to lack of space in our studio apartment here.

I hope you enjoy passing through. 🙂

For the 99.999% of people who don’t speak Irish, Cailin (pronounced Colleen) means “Girl”

  1. Hi there, I recently moved to Seoul and love your blog. I was just wondering if you would be able to provide information on how you found the Gonjiam Mental Hospital in Gwangju? I have been searching and I am going there next weekend so any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    • Hi there, I got the busses from Seoul listed on my blog. I will warn you that the gate is locked and it says no entry in Korean. Although that’s the case, I’ve read up to 1000 people visit there annually. If you’ve difficulty viewing the map msg me and ill try and give clearer directions 🙂

  2. Hi, the first map is the bus route I took and the second map is the exact location of the hospital itself. It does come up on Foursquare too which is how I found it initially myself. Good luck!
